Description

This CRM Marketplace addon uses data from the European VIES database  VAT Information Exchange System
The addon is used to update fields in the Account and Leads module.
Based on a VAT field we check if the VAT number exists and we show the related data from CRM and the VIES database. Those fields can than be updated in the CRM if needed
The addon comes with a comprehensive wizard to match and/or add fields between CRM and the addon if needed.Software

V.1.3.4 - 25/03/2025

Features:

  1. UI Cleanup based on Zoho Marketplace review :
    1. In the Extension Setting page, variable names, types, and values are now hidden from the UI
    2. Removed redirection links from from both the main application interface and the settings page
      1. The label BrainSolutions remains visible but no longer links externally
      2. The version tag "V 1.3.3" has been removed, along with its associated URL
  2. Field and label enhancements
    1. Removed "Full Name" from the pick-list  in line with Zoho's platform constraints. The "Lead Name" field (whose API name is "Full Name") cannot be modified directly. This field is a fusion of the values of the "Last Name" and "First Name" fields.
    2. Renamed "Lead Name" to "Company Name" in the VAT Checker column to better align with data returned by the VIES database

Fixes:

  1. Module compatibility improvements
    1. Fixed an issue where the VAT number field remained in a loading state when creating records in the "Leads module". It now functions correctly, as it does in the Accounts module
  2. Lead Name update issue :
    1. Resolved a issue where the "Lead Name" was not updated when saving VAT Checker suggestions on a Lead record. Now, all fields (including the name) are updated as expected.

    2. Fixed an issue where postal codes with unexpected formats (e.g Dutch alphanumeric codes and spaced formats) caused address parsing logic to break
    3. Verified that VAT validation for other countries like France and Luxembourg continues to work correctly
