Displaying multiple time zones in Windows
At Brainsolutions we work with people in many different parts of the world. We have collegues in Belgium and Madagascar, and suppliers in the US and India. For this reason, it can be handy to have the different times over the world easily at hand. Luckily, Windows supports up to 3 time zones at once.
Follow these steps to configure this on your pc:
(These screenshots are for Windows 10 v.1909, your version might be slightly different)
- press win+r to open the Windows Run dialog
- run timedate.cpl to open the Date and Time settings
(alternatively you can open Configuration screen > Time & Language > Date & Time > Add clocks for different time zones) - Configure up to 2 alternative clocks in this dialog
- Press apply and close the dialog
For reference:
- Belgium is UTC +01:00 (Brussels time)
- Zoho (Chenai) is UTC +05:30 (Chenai time)
- Madagascar is UTC + 03:00 (Nairobi time)
Now when you hover over the clock in the task bar, you will see the 2 alternative times show up.
